Mid night THESIS on SOWETO

Hi Everybody

The past two weeks have been hectic with plans to have my brands winter range ready for eager fashionistas to get hold of, as a result my picture blog has been victim of some neglect (although minor i assure you).

Fortunately whilst visiting one of my old High- School mates I ran into a brand that seems to be making major moves in the township which goes by the name of THESIS. I took these pictures in the early hours of Sunday morning at around 01:25am (SEE BELOW).

I really loved how peaceful SOWETO can be at such Early hours. I didn't get to be up close with the merchandise on display for obvious reasons, but everything looked stunning even from afar and under the start light. The shop is very nicely laid out and very well themed with old vinyls hovering like fashion Valkyries above the clothing rails. This same music theme extends as far as having a music rack where buyers can purchase some of the albums on offer I just hoping that the a local artists considering the vast array of music talent we have in the country and what better place to showcase this that in a local fashion house.

The shop is very edgy and well situated on the main road in Mofolo which takes you all the way down to Dube (which by the way is one of my favourite neighbourhoods to hang out in) and from what I've heard is also used to host monthly music sessions were supporters and fans of the brand and the musos affiliated with it can come together and socialise in a less formal environment "great concept".

There also have some graffiti/mural art work out side just next to the shop which you will see in some of the pics this theme too has also been incorporated into the interior design with corregated iron used as the perimeter to the change room also donning graffiti.

To the guys at THESIS from CheesemonkeyJowish keep the good work up, personally I be sure to be at the next music session, after all one of my boys from the old neighbourhood (wireless) will be gracing the decks. Not mention that this time I'm might also be able to take advantage of the goods on display. Rock on Gents.

You've go to love this mural, coincidence or co-ordination I don't know but under the street lights it looks great.

This pic here has to be my favourite, the mirror reflection from with the shop makes it seem as though the fashion angels are watching over the merchandise whilst the owners are away.

Chillas while you contemplate your prospective expenditure or should I say investment?

And

I hope you enjoyed those for more pic and details visit their website www.thesis.co.za. I'm sure you'll like what you find lets support local clothing brands and artist.

Watch this space for pics of the International Sales at the Dome coming up on my next update. From the guys who writes these rantings "PEACE" and stay blessed.
It's back to work for me wishing you longevity as a brand peeps later...

Where are the pics already?

Hello everybody. It’s been a while since the last time I updated the blog. As a matter of fact that was not the plan as the by now I would have hoped to have some pics up on the sight of people that I found interesting (style wise that it). But alas quality takes time and it would be unfair to put up mild pics when you are expecting the oposite, so I guess we’ll have to wait just a little longer.

An update though is that as winter approaches the first ever range of Cheese Monkey Joowish ® sweaters and cardigans are on schedule and will be launched soon- who knows we might just throw in some limited edition T-shirts with the range "hint-hint -nudge- nudge". You are gonna love them trust me; the range is currently in its final conceptualization and manufacturing phase is known as the (Kalarz Range.

The challenge currently is to choose a venue for our up coming shoot as we have already garnered two stunning models so far to be part of the revolution with Zoo Lake being the potential venue for this, what the heck maybe we’ll throw in Some up and coming Dj talent, beautiful people and grown up Refreshments and turn into a photo shoot party (Light bulb moment).

Time will tell maybe we might just end up doing it in a hip little township near you. In the meantime I want to thank all the peeps who have been giving me the momentum to move forward with this next phase of my destiny, family and friends a like. Oh and thanks to the skeptics too, “You give us the drive to push harder”.

Oh In the meantime I’d like to leave you with some pics that I found on mens flair.com and Banana Republic @ GAP, just to give you an idea of the kind of gear to look forward to, Cheese Monkey Joowish ® signing out. Have a smashing weekend I’m off to meet my one of my textile assemblers hope to snap up some pics for the next time I’m updating the blog.
